MIC FISH Probe
The MIC FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the MIC gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is one of several related ligands of the KLRK1/NKG2D receptor, which is found in primary NK cells. Binding of these ligands to the receptor activates several signal transduction pathways, including the JAK2, STAT5, and ERK pathways. The encoded protein is expressed solubly and on the surface of many tumor cells, making it potentially an important target for therapeutics. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2015]
