GLDN FISH Probe
The GLDN FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the GLDN gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that contains olfactomedin-like and collagen-like domains. The encoded protein, which exists in both transmembrane and secreted forms, promotes formation of the nodes of Ranvier in the peripheral nervous system. Mutations in this gene cause a form of lethal congenital contracture syndrome in human patients. Autoantibodies to the encoded protein have been identified in sera form patients with multifocal motor neuropathy. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]
