FXYD6-FXYD2 FISH Probe
The FXYD6-FXYD2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the FXYD6-FXYD2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between the neighboring FXYD domain-containing ion transport regulator 6 (GeneID 53826) and sodium/potassium-transporting ATPase subunit gamma (GeneID 486) genes on chromosome 11. One read-through transcript produces a fusion protein that shares sequence identity with each individual gene product, while another read-through transcript encodes a protein that has a distinct C-terminus and only shares sequence identity with the upstream locus (GeneID 53826).
