FSIP2 FISH Probe
The FSIP2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the FSIP2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein associated with the sperm fibrous sheath. Genes encoding most of the fibrous-sheath associated proteins genes are transcribed only during the postmeiotic period of spermatogenesis. The protein encoded by this gene is specific to spermatogenic cells. Copy number variation in this gene may be associated with testicular germ cell tumors. Pseudogenes associated with this gene are reported on chromosomes 2 and X. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]
