DDI2 FISH Probe
The DDI2 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the DDI2 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this intronless gene inhibits the expression of the solute carrier family 5 (sodium/glucose cotransporter), member 1 gene (SLC5A1) and downregulates exocytosis of the SLC5A1 protein. The encoded protein is sometimes found coating the trans-Golgi network and other times is localized to the nucleus, depending on the cell cycle stage. This protein also inhibits the expression of solute carrier family 22 (organic cation transporter), member 2 (SLC22A2). [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
