BHLHB5 FISH Probe
The BHLHB5 FISH probe is designed to hybridize to the BHLHB5 gene and is primarily used for detecting amplifications and deletions associated with the gene. This probe is FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood metaphase spreads and interphase nuclei. The probe can be labeled in one of five colors. Each probe is sold in a 20 test kit (approximately 20 slides - 22x22 mm area) and includes hybridization buffer. Please note that due to design optimizations, prices are subject to change.

Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family of transcription factors that regulate cell fate determination, proliferation, and differentiation. A similar protein in mouse is required for the development of the dorsal cochlear nuclei, and is thought to play a role in in the differentiation of neurons involved in sensory input. The mouse protein also functions in retinogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
