TECR-NDUFB7 Fusion FISH Probe
The TECR-NDUFB7 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the TECR and NDUFB7 genes. The fusion of the TECR and NDUFB7 genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NDUFB7 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the multisubunit NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I). Mammalian complex I is composed of 45 different subunits. It is located at the mitochondrial inner membrane. This protein has NADH dehydrogenase activity and oxidoreductase activity. It transfers electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: NADH:ubiquinone Oxidoreductase Subunit B7
Chromosome: CHR19: 14676889 -14682889
Locus: 19p13.12
TECR Gene Summary
This gene encodes a multi-pass membrane protein that resides in the endoplasmic reticulum, and belongs to the steroid 5-alpha reductase family. The elongation of microsomal long and very long chain fatty acid consists of 4 sequential reactions. This protein catalyzes the final step, reducing trans-2,3-enoyl-CoA to saturated acyl-CoA. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2011]
Gene Name: Trans-2,3-enoyl-CoA Reductase
Chromosome: CHR19: 14640378 -14676792
Locus: 19p13.12
